What a day

(This was actually on Tuesday but I couldn't get to it until now)

I have never had a day quite like today. This morning I woke up and went to the DMV. Never have I have a faster DMV visit. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes and that is no exaggeration. At the DMV I go the new plates for my motorcycle. After that I went home and took the exhaust pipes off and started painting them. (A harder process than I thought it would be) I painted them flat black you can see it the pictures, I think it turned out really good. Eventually I want to pain the whole thing flat black. Anyway, after I finished painting I hopped on and went for the ride of rides .... as you can see. I went up Emigration Canyon. Then at the top you can go left, which takes you to the I-80, or you can go right, which takes you up to East Canyon Reservoir. The rode wound through the mountains and the leafs were just starting to change colors. Oh, and did I mention that I had The Band of Horses playing on the Ipod?! It was picture perfect. I had a blast. I never thought that I could have so much fun on a motorcycle. I rode about 80 miles there and back. When I got back I ran out of gas! I thought I would get better gas mileage so I thought I would risk it ..... I guess I shouldn't have. There is a problem with one of the carburetors, it has a bad float so it keeps overflowing with gas and then dumping it out so I loose a lot of mileage to that. Anyway I think this takes the cake for my longest blog post!

How Patriotic!

I was riding my bike around the city the other day. That day just happened to be September 11th. As I was riding around I see this guy jogging. He wan't just jogging he was carrying a huge American flag, and he wasn't just hold it, he had a firm grip on it and even when he was at a cross walk waiting for the light to change he held it there firm and strong. I waved as I rode by. I have seen this guy before running with the flag around the city. I immediately had the up most respect for him. I don't know if he is or was in the army or if he just loves his country, all I know is that he inspired me to think more about the people that have made it possible for me to live in this great country that I do. I hope he knows that his mission was accomplished.

What I need to do

First of all I am sorry for the lack of posts lately I don't know what has gotten into me. I have really been lacking inspiration for some reason. I just can't think of things to post .... until now! I have recently been thinking of what I should do with the rest of my life. (Career wise) I am majoring in Finance but I don't know what I want to do with that. I have always thought of inventions and businesses that I would like to start and/or run. Finally just the other day I realized that I need to be an entrepreneur. I think that I would be doing, not only myself but, the whole world a favor by doing this. I have been telling my friends about this life changing experience and they agree with me. So I am not going to change my degree. I am going to get a degree in finance. Personally I don't think that you can teach entrepreneurship. It requires taking risks, research and know a good idea and investment when you see one. I think that I am made for this. It is "in my blood." The only problem is I don't really know how to start. Like they say it takes money to make money. Money is something I have little of so I guess I should start by saving up some money to start a business. Yes, that is my first step!

A Hot Shave

Finally I sat down and finished one of my projects. I made a stop motion video of me shaving my beard off. It was my first one so its a little .... rough .... but I think it turned out pretty good. Here it is ......

Trading, Bartering, and Dreams

So awhile ago I heard about this 17 year old kid that traded things on craigslist. He started with a cell phone and eventually ended up with a Porsche! So I decided to try it out and although I started with something a little better I now have something that I've wanted for a long time!

So here is the story ...... I have had this Remote control truck for years and I haven't touched it.

So I decided to put it up on the local classified ads page and I got a few offers but non that caught my eye. Finally a gentleman called me with a 2001 Specialized FSR Rockhopper. (Its a mountain bike) So this mountain bike was in perfect condition and it had upgraded shocks and breaks. It was beautiful. The guy I traded works for Specialized so he probably got it for free.

We traded and I was happy.

The next day I was on the internet looking at the trade ads and I found a guy that had a 1980 Kawasaki KZ650. It is in great shape, just over 13k miles. The guy was looking for a mountain bike so I contacted him and we traded and I was Happy.



So In less that a week I went from a remote control car that I never used to something that I have always wanted ...... a motorcycle. I plan on converting it into a cafe racer, and then who knows. I will probably trade it eventually and we'll see what I get. I am addicted to this trading thing now. Who knows maybe one day I'll get a house like Kyle McDonald.

Outdoor retailers convention in Salt Lake

This last week a wonderful friend of mine got me into the outdoor retailers convention! It was mind bottleing every thing you can imagine that has anything to do with outdoors was there. This picture was at the new balance booth and it reminded me of myself!

Help me! I'm trying to make my dreams come true!

My roommates and I are going to Washington the bigging of October and it just so happens that my FAVORITE band is going to be there at the same time .... THE BLACK KEYS. There is only one problem. They are sold out and the only other tickets I can find are over $150. I am a poor college student and can't afford that! So I am asking if anyone knows anywhere I can find cheaper tickets or just any solution to my problem! Please help me!

Stop motion

Awhile ago I posted a stop motion video from youtube that was amazing! I felt inspired to make a stop motion video myself. That was about a year ago and I couldn't think of anything to make a stop motion video on ....... until now. Let me explain. It is summer time and therefore it is hot! Long hair and a thick beard doesn't make the heat any less intense. So I have been thinking about shaving my beard off lately and so I am going to make a stop motion video of me shaving my beard off! Anyway until then here is another stop motion video that my friend Joy showed me!
