Bikes = Love
This guy nails it! I feel the same way about bikes and riding them and I have much respect for him because he is doing what he loves to do and is spreading that love to other people.

Good news .... powder coating my fixie!
I have some great news! This past week I have been breaking down my fixie to just the frame so that I can get it powder coated. Well just yesterday I took it in to the powder coater and they said it should be done by the middle of next week, there is some bad news though. I am not going to get the color scheme that I wanted. They said they can to multiple colors, but it doesn't usually turn out very well because they have to spray it then re-mask it and spray it again. Then I asked them what flat colors they had and they only had black (which I like a lot). I originally wanted a flat graphite gray and black with a angled stripe down the bike (hard to describe how it is exactly). Anyway I think I will be happy with the flat black. Now my bike is going to be flat black with white wheels and red accents.
P.S. I would post some kind of picture but there are no good ones of a flat black fixie so here is a picture of a kitten instead

New Phone ... Cont.
Ok if you have been following my blog you will know that in December I posted that I want to get a new phone and I put some pictures up of some of the options. At the time I didn't think about up and coming phones. So, I have been researching and I have found the mother of all cell phones. This thing blows the iPhone 4 out of the water. It is called the Motorola Droid Bionic. It has a dual-core processor. That is just like a computer, 1 GHz processor with 512Mb of DDR2 RAM to back that up! That is fast! Also 4G of course, 8 megapixel camera with 720p hd video recording. Front facing camera, and the list goes on and on! Oh and you can tether up to 8 other devices! That is right 8!!!

Classy Long
I have been growing my hair out for quite awhile now and it is getting pretty long. I am proud to say that my hair is very health and it looks good. Lately I've been wanting to do something with it though. I think that the main reason for this is because I have a new job that is quite a bit more "serious" and businessy than my last job. I want to keep it somewhat long but I want it to look classy. Not that it doesn't look classy now I just think that it could look more ...... kept? I was checking out The Sartorialist blog last night and I came across a picture of a man with what I envision my hair becoming very soon here it is.
If you have any other suggestions or pictures please share.

The Black Keys Plus SNL
While I was in Austin this last weekend we were in our hotel room on Saturday night and just happened to catch Saturday Night Live. I was overwhelmed when I found out that my favorite band was the music guest, The Black Keys. They are so awesome and they sound even better live! They sang two songs, "Tighten Up" and "Howlin' For You."

Dancing
I told you yesterday that I am in Austin, TX shooting a dance competition. Well the actual competition hasn't yet started and I am stuck sitting here doing nothing. The main computer doesn't have solatair and I have played all the games on my phone a thousand times. Which leads me to my next point. I love my phone! Although it is an older model and somewhat slow I love that I can turn on my wireless tether and use the internet on a computer through my phone anywhere I am! I love technology!
Anyway, whenever I am at one of these comeptitions I try and make the best out of it! So, whenever I walk in the door at the venue I always say "I love the smell of dance in the morning" or "I LOVE dance!" Usually it is way too busy to even sit down and get on facebook ... not to metion make a blog post of this caliber. Today is very slow and boring! I have already checked out all the dance mom's my eyes can handle so now I am just left to the blog! I was going to write something very insiteful about dancing but I forgot what it was ........ wait, I love dance!
I am at the Company Dance event in Austin, check out the site it is pretty legit!

Airports 101
On occasion I work for a photography company and we travel all over the country and take pictures of dance competitions. So, we spend quite a bit of time in different airports all over the country. Today I had an especially long layover in Phoenix. As I sat, I put my book down for a moment, and started to really look at the people there. I realized that you can classify people at the airport into two categories and a few different sub-categories.
Category 1 = People that do not belong at an airport!
These people have no clue what they are doing! Usually they have a lot of things in their hands, including their boarding pass and id from going through security, they ask for directions and/or instrucitons, they look somewhat scared and alone.
- Sleepers = (They could belong but they will never follow the dress code) You can spot these people from two miles away. This person will be wearing sweats, ugg boots, maybe basketball shorts, they will have messy hair, one of those donut things you put around your neck, a pillow, and a stuffed animal. Personally I don't like sitting by these people because they often snore, drool, and/or stink because they haven't showered.
Category 2 = People who belong
These people know what they are doing and they are "experienced"
- Readers = These people always have a book in hand and can't get their nose's out of it. They will often run into other people, walls, trash cans, recycle bins, trip over laptop power cords, etc. They usually know what they are doing but often times they forget where they are and how they got there.
- Rushed Businessmen and women = You can spot these people from a mile away. They will, for the most part, be dressed nice, like in a suit, they will have one roller bag with a smaller bag attached to the handle. They will be on their phone, with or without a Bluetooth. When they aren't walking they are trying to look busy so, they get on their "work laptops" and play games. They are usually in a bad mood and are always in a hurry!
- Techies = These people are often disguised as business people. They always have their head phones in, they will always be texting, when they are waiting they are watching a movie or playing a game on their macbook or ipad, and the make sure everyone can see what they are doing and how cool they look with their gizmo's.
- "Lookers" = (This sub-category could go under category 1 but I just left it here) These people are the best to watch. Let me paint you a picture. A guy, hair spiked, nothing in his hands, he will usually have a backpack (one with lots of straps hanging off it), if you are lucky you will catch him with sunglasses on inside!, they are always looking as fresh as they can. By that I mean they are wearing what they thing they look best in. Here is how you spot them ..... they are always looking, but not just looking, they are checking everyone out. They are looking, and hoping to meet someone they can hook up with in the airport. You will often hear or see them talking really loud or even yelling to draw attention to themselves, they do this so everyone will think that they are perfectly calm and at ease in the airport, when in reality they are terrified to fly. They are fun to watch but if you aren't careful they may think you are checking them out.
Who am I - I think that I am a combination of a reader, techy, and (I had to admit it) a little bit of a looker. In my defense there are usually some very pretty women at the airport! Who are you? Leave a comment of what kind of airport traveler you think you are.

Good bye 2010! Last year has been one of the best so far! I seems that for me every year gets better and better! Personally I love the new year because it is like a fresh start, you can forget about the year past and focus on what you are going to do in the year to come. Countless things can be accomplished in 365 days. If you have been following my blog you will know that I am all about making my dreams come true. I was able to make quite a few dreams come true in 2010 and I have a really good feeling about 2011. Happy new year! Here is a song that has nothing to do with the new year I just like it check it out.
